Tackle Straw Problems
The Degelman StrawmasterŽ is the revolutionary machine designed to tackle enormous straw problems. With 26 inch long tines placed in rows of five, and set in large ten foot wide by six foot deep sections, this machine is at the forefront of modern straw management. The StrawmasterŽ will shatter straw, control weeds, rake flax straw, and incorporate seed and chemicals.
Five Bar Sections
The tine bar sections are a five bar section with standard 5/8" x 26" straight tines.
5 Bar - 5/8" x 26" Straight Tines
Zero Moving Parts On Harrow Sections
The Strawmaster is revolutionary. At the heart of every StrawmasterŽ is the simple torsional spring bar design. Unlike conventional or other heavy harrows, Strawmaster uses a 1 1/4" x 2" spring bar system that lets you apply downward pressure to the harrow sections as you need it. These twin spring bars allow in-cab hydraulic control by applying pressure from zero to 1900 pounds per harrow section. If you don't need pressure, just put it in float. As well, the spring bars support the entire harrow in transport.

Optional Granular Applicator
VALMAR provides an excellent implement mounted Granular Applicator for Herbicides and Seeds. This option can be factory installed by Degelman or purchased and installed seperately. An optional platform is also available for the Strawmaster 7000.
Solid Autofold Truss Arms
As opposed to harrows with cable systems, the solid truss arms give the Strawmaster a structural and performance advantage. These solid truss arms allow you to back away from obstacles and power poles. They also help to reduce whip as you are cornering.
Under float or under pressure, the harrow sections are designed for flexibility. The spring bars are positioned along the sides of the harrow frame providing an even distribution of pressure to the frame. The spring bars can then flex In response to counter pressure from the land contours with each section rising over hills and falling into hollows.
Easy Drop-Out Tine Replacement
The tine bars easliy drop out by simply removing a few bolts making tine replacement faster and easier.
Tine Angle Adjustment
On The Go Hydraulic Control
Optional hydraulic rephasing cylinders are available that replace our standard gear driven jacks. These cylinders help to synchronize the angle adjustment and provide consistent pressure for every section. (Available for Strawmaster 7000 standard models only)
Manual Tine Angle
Hydraulic Tine Angle
Endwheel Levelling Adjustment
Trailer Height Levelling
As the angle of the tines is adjusted, the cart and frame should be levelled to correspond. The cart is carried independently by two large 16.5L Softrac II tires and the height is changed by heavy duty ratchets. The optional "Hydraulic Tine Angle Kit" also includes two 3" x 8" cylinders for hydraulic trailer height levelling.
Manual Trailer Height
Hydraulic Trailer Height
The Strawmaster 7000 converts from transport to field position with ease accomplished by a quick turn of the transport spindle, backing up, and laying the harrows down in the field.
Strawmaster 7000 - Narrow
Similar to the standard Strawmaster 7000, the 38' & 54' Narrow version converts from field to transport using our patented autofold system. The main difference is the narrower trailer frame to reduce transport width. Manual tine angle, trailer height and endwheel adjustments only. 4 row tine sections.
The Strawmaster 700 is a narrow 22' & 30' harrow that converts from field to transport using a forward folding hydraulic system. Manual tine angle adjustment. 4 row tine sections.
